The creative career of the writer Ibrohim Rahim consisted of writing works, novels, stories, dostons, and dramas. The author is also the screenwriter of the motion picture "Farhodning Jasorati." Ibrohim Rahim has been awarded the titles "Honored Art Worker of Uzbekistan" and "People's Writer of Uzbekistan." On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence and his 80th birthday, the author was awarded the "Do'stlik" and subsequently the "El-Yurt Hurmati" orders.
Biography
The renowned writer and journalist Ibrohim Rahim was born on October 15, 1916, in the Quva district of the Fergana region. Orphaned of his father at the age of three, he was raised under the care of his mother, To'xtabibi. His passion for literature was also awakened in Ibrohim Rahim thanks to his mother. This passion brought him to Tashkent in 1933.
Ibrohim Rahim initially worked for a newspaper called "Kolxoz Yo'li." His first works were published starting from this period. His poems, sketches, and stories began to be printed in the press. He participated in two wars - the battles in Finland and against German fascism (1937-1945). Ibrohim Rahim worked as an editor for front-line newspapers published in the Uzbek language. He wrote sketches, stories, and reports reflecting the fiery patriotism of our soldiers.
Returning from military service in 1946, the writer worked in the editorial offices of newspapers and magazines in our republic.
Ibrohim Rahim passed away in 2002.
Ibrohim Rahim served in responsible positions at the Uzbekistan Radio Committee (1946-1947), as editor of the "O'zbekiston Ovozi" (formerly "Qizil O'zbekiston") newspaper (1950-1961), as head at the "O'zbekfilm" film studio (1960-1966), and as editor-in-chief of the magazines "Guliston" (1966-1970) and "Mushtum" (1976-1982). The writer's creative career began in 1938. His first major work is the doston "Bahodir" (1939), written about the life of border guards.
Work
Ibrohim Rahim wrote the novel "Hayot Buloqlari" in 1953. Later, this work was revised based on the opinions and reflections of literary critics and published under the title "Ixlos" (1958). In his novels such as "Chin Muhabbat" (1958), "Fidoyilar" (1972), and "General Ravshanov" (1985), Ibrohim Rahim reflected the combat life of the heroes of the Second World War.
The 1966 Tashkent earthquake and its heroic aftermath served as the subject for the writer's novel "Tinimsiz Shahar" (1968).
His novel "Taqdir" is dedicated to the construction of a new city. The author's story "Hilola" (1960) is aimed at the artistic resolution of important problems of the era, such as the place of women in collective farms, their promotion to leadership positions, and the elevation of the collective farm economy.
In the writer's stories "Zangori Kema Kapitani" and "Olovkor" (1960), the high spiritual image and heroism in the labor of our people are reflected. For his novel "Oqibat," the writer was awarded the Hamza State Prize of the Republic (1983).
Ibrohim Rahim also created dramas named "Jonim Fido" and "Chaqmoq" (1974). In "Chaqmoq," the image of the Uzbek youth Mamadali Topiboldiev, who fought against German-fascist invaders in the forests of Belarus, was created. The author is also the screenwriter of the motion picture "Farhodning Jasorati."
